HuntingPrime.com is an independent reference published by ActionNeuro LLC. The season dates, bag limits, license and tag fees, legal methods, land access notes and how-to guides on this site are provided for general information only. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and reading it does not create any professional or advisory relationship with ActionNeuro LLC or its contributors.

Hunting is regulated by state and federal law. The only authoritative statement of the rules that apply to you is the current regulation published by the wildlife agency of the state you hunt in, together with applicable federal regulations for migratory birds and federal lands. Before you buy a license, apply for a tag, or go afield, confirm every date, limit and requirement with the agency. Each data table on this site links to the agency page it was read from so you can do that quickly.

We are not a government agency

HuntingPrime.com is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any state wildlife agency, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Bureau of Land Management, the U.S. Forest Service or any other government body. Agency names appear on this site only to identify the source of information. We do not sell licenses, tags, stamps or permits.

Accuracy, timing and estimates

We read agency publications directly, record where each figure came from, and show the season year and verification date under every table. Even so:

  • Agencies amend seasons during the year, including emergency closures and quota-based early closures. A page that was accurate when verified can be superseded without notice.
  • Dates marked est. are the most recent dates an agency has published, shown because the coming season’s dates were not yet available when we checked. They are not predictions we stand behind and must not be relied on.
  • Many rules vary by county, unit, zone, wildlife management area or land ownership. Our tables summarize the statewide framework and note major variations; they cannot reproduce every local exception.
  • Fees are the agency’s listed prices at the time of verification and may exclude vendor, convenience, application or fulfillment charges.

All content is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

Your responsibility and our liability

You are solely responsible for knowing and following the law where you hunt, for hunting safely, and for the consequences of your decisions in the field. To the fullest extent permitted by law, ActionNeuro LLC, its owners, editors and contributors are not liable for any loss, injury, citation, fine, license revocation, property damage or other harm arising from the use of, or reliance on, information found on this site, whether that information was accurate, out of date or incomplete.

Safety

Firearms, archery equipment, tree stands, boats, remote terrain and wild game all carry inherent risk. Our guides describe general practices; they are not a substitute for a certified hunter education course, manufacturer instructions, or the judgment of an experienced mentor. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for all equipment and the safety rules of the agency and landowner where you hunt.
