Elk Heart Outfitters operates in Southwest Colorado in Units 77 and 78 in the remote and rugged terrain of the San Juan National Forest. Our mission is to provide safe and memorable backcountry experiences rooted in traditional Western values. We deliver quality drop camps, semi-guided and guided hunts for elk, mule deer, black bear and Merriam turkey. We handle all pack in and pack out logistics, as well as game packing. With deep appreciation for conservation and ethical hunting practices, Elk Heart Outfitters is committed to providing clients with a personalized and enjoyable hunting experience. During the summer, we guide horseback trail rides at the base of Wolf Creek Pass, offering some of the most stunning views in the area. Whether you’re pursuing elk in remote basins or riding high mountain trails, our guides bring local knowledge, strong horsemanship and a desire to give you the best possible outcome. We take pride in sharing the mountains we call home and creating memories that last a lifetime.
